I had to retrieve this message from work. I e-mailed
CAP concerning ANP. 21366. The response was:
"Your question was forwarded to me for a response.
Freshly prepared reagents must be labeled with the
preparation date and the date to which they can
reasonably be expected to be stable. If you
don't know what that date would be, perhaps you could
review quality control data to historically determine
stability, or you could check with the manufacturer
for their recommendations. (Dry chemicals and stains
should be labeled by the manufacturer, if not you
should ask them for recommendations to determine the
storage life.) I hope that this information is
helpful. Thank you for your interest in the Laboratory
