WORK UNIT: College of Agricultural Sciences
Department:Veterinary Science, Animal Diagnostic Lab
Responsible for the development and implementation of immunohistochemical
and immunofluorescence-based diagnostic test methods for the detection of
microbial antigens in tissues and tissue cultures. Coordinate
investigational studies related to the pathogenesis of disease in mammalian
and avian species. Knowledge of PRRS IHC procedures and PA method required.
Routine duties will also include ordering supplies/reagents, generate
diagnostic results, develop SOP`s for section and train students. Position
will direct and oversee daily activities in the lab and take a leadership
role. Requires Bachelor`s degree or equivalent, plus one year of
work-related experience in clinical or virology laboratory. THIS IS A
FIXED-TERM POSITION FUNDED FOR ONE YEAR FROM DATE OF HIRE WITH EXCELLENT
POSSIBILITY OF RE-FUNDING.
