Dear Lynn
Gram controls can be easily made, I make ours. In fact heres how:
2x2 squares of fresh placenta(unfixed)
2 plates of old QC organisms from Micro lab
1-staph(gram positive)
1-e-coli(gram neg)
scrape organisms off plate , push into pieces of placenta, then fix tissue as
you do all others works well, don't go lightly with the organisms, use lots.
