Immunohistochemistry on human skin

From:DKDBK@coloplast.com

Hi histonetters

I just got a job working with immunohistochemistry on human skin. My
company produces adhesive devices such as ostomy bags and bandages. My
predecessor used a lot of different antibodies, but no real standardisation
was done and many of the antibodies stain the same structures of the skin.
I am in the process of validating the methods that have been used and
wonder if I can get some info on what antibodies are generally used to
describe the different layers of normal skin? Since we also study the
effects of adhesives on the skin, info on appropriate antibodies for
description of general skin irritation, apoptose and inflammation is also
highly appreciated. References like review papers and books on the subject
are also very welcome.

Thanks in advance.
