RE: asbestos bodies

For the avoidance of doubt, asbestos bodies are way too thin to be seen by light microscopy.
As far as I know, Perl's is the *only* way to to see those that are encrusted by iron as a result of the haemorrage they cause. 
Only a small proportion (of fibres) is picked up in this way.
