We were wondering what type of counterstain do you use on your
instrument...Do you use Ventana's hematoxylin or a homebrew? We have been
using a homebrew-diluted commercial Harris hematoxylin. Our diluent is
composed of 128 mL Type 1 water, 60 mL 20% polyethylene glycol, and
12 mL glacial acetic acid. Since we feel the diluted stain is fading too
much in the dispensers, we're kind of looking for a replacement protocol.
We would welcome any and all suggestions!
Thank you!
