Leica Microsystems has an opening for a Histotechnologist to work in our 
Technical Applications Center to provide support for our complete line of 
products for Histology Specimen Preparation including Microtomes, Cryostats,=20
Stainers, Embedders,  Tissue Processors and Ultramicrotomy products.

include:

Position Title:     Applications Specialist
Location:   Deerfield, Illinois (just outside of Chicago)

Job Responsibilities:
· Provide product and applications phone and in-field support to customers, 
sales reps and Leica Dealers on histology and ultramicrotomy product lines
· Conduct routine histology and EM sample processing in Leica's Customer 
Support Laboratory
· Develop product user and training manuals
· Conduct in-house customer product training
· Build and maintain applications database
· Serve as technical liaison to Customer Service/Field Service/Product 
Management departments
· Develop and distribute routine communications and correspondence 
· Contribute to the development and distribution of Technical Bulletins
· Collaborate on development of marketing materials such as advertisements, 
brochures and direct mail pieces
· Support national and local trade shows
· Provide Quality Control testing of products for service depot

Qualifications and Experience:
· Bachelor's Degree in Science or related field
· Minimum 2 years experience in Histology and/or Ultramicrotomy
· Computer skills in word processing and spreadsheet programs
