Histo/Pathology Supervisor:

Current Histology Technician certification, and 2 years experience.
Supervisory functions related to compliance.  Knowledge of Histological and
Cytological testing and current trends in laboratory technology.  Advanced
computer skills.  Transcription skills sufficient to function in this
capacity on limited basis.  Ability to perform multiple tasks in the
laboratory setting.  Effective interpersonal, patient contact and
communications skills.  Competency in all areas of the indicated skills
checklist.  

This a bench tech job, we currently have two full time histology
technicians, one secretary,one PA, three pathologists, a new Ventana Nexus
which stains specials and immuno's that is still in the box.  This position
covers both secretarial and histological areas.  The person would need
transcription experience so that they could type gross dictation and maybe
some micro on a part-time basis.  The majority of their workload would come
