Kathy,
Well I can account for 6 histotechs (including myself) that gross in
specimens as well as all the other regular duties. I've been with this lab
for a little over 3 years and the technicians have always trimmed the
tissue. We do somewhere in the neighborhood of 23,000 surgicals a year plus
necropies (I'm not sure of the total). We work in a veterinary lab so I
don't know if that makes a difference or not.
