I am also a histotech with an A.S. degree. At my last job I also grossed in 
the majority of the surgical specimens at a small community hospital with a 
yearly case load of 9000. We had anywhere from 25 to 45 cases a day. My 
salary was 36,000 a year. I believe I was grossly under paid. I hope this was
