Words of advice from a program director of HT and HTL schools:

If you are planning on taking the written exam in June,
this falls in the April/May/June quarter, of which the
deadline to apply was January 2, 2000, and the list
of practical tissues was received the middle of
January. The practicals were due into ASCP the
beginning of April. If you were planning on taking the
written in June, you should have received the practical list
in January, and it's probably too late for you to start
working on the practical now.

If you were planning on taking the written exam in July,
this falls in July/August/September quarter. The deadline
was April 2. The practical lists are usually mailed out
the middle of April. So I doubt that anyone has received
the lists yet.

PLEASE NOTE:

The written exams are on 4 quarters - Jan/Feb/Mar,
Apr/May/June, July/Aug/Sept, and Oct/Nov/Dec.

The practical exams are on 2 halves - April and October.

If you are planning on taking the written exam
Jan through June, then your practical is the
April practical.

If you are planning on taking the written exam
July through December, then your practical is the
October practical.

These can be two different practical exams. Different
tissues, different stains. If someone sends you the list
of the April practical for the June written, do NOT
use that list if you are planning on taking the July
written. You are on a different practical cycle, so the
tissues and stains may be different. Some times they
are the same, but I wouldn't count on it.

Hope this isn't too confusing.
