Hi, We are using a regular Giemsa stain for H. Pylori, but may soon be
identifying these organisms using IHC. We are looking into this. One
pathologist likes the Genta stain, which is a silver stain, but is a much
longer procedure than the Giemsa. We have another pathologist who asked about
the Alcian Yellow stain (which we do not have), and he said he used it at
Stanford. I think a little while ago, there was a reference on Histonet
about this stain. Good luck!
