Dear Joyce;
We have a demo DownDraft Fume Extractor we would sell, if that would help you
out. It's not a "hood", but a fully portable workstation that draws the air
down and away from the operator, through an activated charcoal filter. Clean
air then exits from the top. It requires not hoses or duct work. It works
great for hand coverslipping, grossing, plastic embedding, etc. Carbon
filters are in no mess pillow form. We use the DDFE's for all our Q.C. work
in-house when working with xylene, etc.
Price would be $1,500.00, which includes full 12 month warranty. Price for a
new unit is $2,200.00.
